Quality you can't see: what matters before the finishes go on
Villa marketing photographs marble and pools. Villa quality is decided months earlier, in work that gets covered up: compaction under the ground slab, concrete cover over rebar, waterproofing details at every wet area and roof junction, conduit routing that will let an electrician help you in ten years without opening walls.
Our rule on site is simple: nothing is closed up until it's been checked, photographed and signed. Clients receive those records at handover. It's slower on the day and much faster over the decade — because the most expensive defect in any villa is the one you find after the paint.
When you visit any contractor's site — ours included — don't look at the finishes first. Look at the housekeeping, the storage of materials, and whether the engineer can answer the question “what's behind this wall?” without checking. Tidy sites build tight villas.
